BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott men's soccer team tied Salem State, 1-1, in non-conference action on Wednesday evening at Hempstead Stadium.
Max Karkos (Wethersfield, Conn.) scored the lone tally for the Gulls in the 56th minute with a great individual effort.
After receiving a pass at the top left corner of the box, Karkos crossed up his defender three times before ripping a strike into the upper right 90 for his second goal of the season.
Salem State found the equalizer in the 65th minute and held off a persistent Endicott attack the rest of the way.
The Gulls commanded play down the stretch outshooting their opposition 5-1 (two blocked shots, two saves, one wide for Endicott).
In goal, Brett Roy (Newport, Vt.) made one stop in his debut with the Blue and Green.
