Suffolk Bests Men’s Soccer, 4-1

BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott men's soccer team fell to Suffolk, 4-1, in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action on Saturday afternoon at Hempstead Stadium.

Diego Pierantozzi (Weston, Fla.) registered his first career hat trick ('27, '33, '57) to highlight the Rams in the victory.

Meanwhile, Jason Brodeur (Hanson, Mass.) broke up Suffolk's shutout bid at the 60:02 mark when he headed home a quick flick-on in between three defenders at the doorstep.

Joe Akisik (Sudbury, Mass.) delivered the header to Brodeur from the left post following a short-side throw-in by Michael Lysiak (Paxton, Mass.).

In goal, Brett Roy (Newport, Vt.) made two saves in the setback (0-3-1).

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • The all-time series is now even at 3-3-0.
  • Suffolk is 2-1-1 on the road this season.
  • Brodeur netted his eighth career goal (first in 2023).
  • Lysiak dished out his first career assist.
  • Akisik tallied his third career assist.

Endicott (2-5-1, 0-2-0 CCC) visits Wheaton tomorrow at 2 PM. Suffolk (5-2-1, 2-0-0 CCC) travels to MIT on Wednesday, September 27 at 5 PM.
