Montclair State Tops Men's Soccer, 4-1

MONTCLAIR, N.J. — The Endicott men's soccer team dropped a 4-1 decision to Montclair State on Sunday afternoon.

Reigning Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Rookie of the Week Aidan Sheehan (Arlington, Mass.) scored the lone goal of the afternoon for the Gulls ('18, second of the season).

Fisher Mills (Ridgefield, Conn.) was credited with an assist on the tally, which put the Gulls in front of the Red Hawks at the time. 

In goal, Kevin Pelletier (Topsfield, Mass.) made a career-high eight saves in the loss (2-2-0).

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • Today's match was the second meeting all-time between the two programs, and the first since 2017, when the Gulls defeated the Red Hawks 2-1.
  • Sheehan leads the Gulls in both goals (2) and points (5) so far this season.
  • Montclair State is outscoring opponents 16-2 this fall.

WHAT'S NEXT

Endicott (2-2-0) will return home on Wednesday, September 13 at 4 PM to face Salem State. Montclair State (4-0-0) travels to Moravian this coming Wednesday at 7 PM.
