Men's Soccer Races Past Ramapo, 3-0

BEVERLY, Mass. — The Endicott men's soccer team defeated Ramapo, 3-0, in non-conference action on Sunday afternoon at Hempstead Stadium.

Max Karkos (Wethersfield, Conn.) and Joe Mepham (Sudbury, Mass.) buried goals in the first 20 minutes of the match and the Gulls' defense took care of the rest.

Less than three minutes into the contest (2:07), Mepham slipped a through ball to the left side of the box for Ryan Gerry (Durham, Conn.) who was able to quickly swing a cross at the back post to set up Karkos for an easy one-timer.

The second goal was also a beauty, but this time it came off Mepham's foot as the senior midfielder dribbled through multiple defenders at the left corner of the box and finessed a shot into the bottom right corner of the net for his first of the season.

Late in the second half (84:25), Aidan Sheehan (Arlington, Mass.) beat his defender from the right corner of the box and flipped a centering pass to Tiago Frazao (Trumbull, Conn.) to cap the scoring for the Gulls.

  • Today's match is the first meeting between the two programs since October 6, 2001, when Ramapo was victorious, 2-1.

  • In his first two games in an Endicott uniform, Sheehan has recorded a goal and an assist.
