Dec. 14, 2003

The Endicott Gulls extended their winning streak to three games by winning their first Commonwealth Coast Conference matchup of the season against Curry College. Curry kept the game close in the first half by hitting four three pointers and turning the Gulls over 11 times. After leading 36-25 at the intermission, Endicott played one of their finest halves of basketball holding Curry to 17 second half points; while pouring in 47 points of their own on 68% shooting. The 83-42 win puts the Gulls at 5-2 for the season entering the winter break.

The Gulls were led in the first half by Jeremy Currier, who accumulated 10 of his game leading 19 points. Matt George scored all eight of his points in the first half as did freshman Nemanja Marinkovic. James Leveque contributed 10 points for the game and Zach Ellis distributed 6 assists without turning the ball over once.

Curry college, under first year coach Malcolm Wynn dropped to 1-5 with the loss but was without their top scorer and rebounder, Keenan Small for the game. Michael Morhin paced Curry with ten points.

The Endicott Men will open the second semester on the road at Eastern Connecticut State on January 8th and resume league play thereafter. The Gulls go into Christmas shooting around 80% from the foul line.
