CENTERVILLE, Mass. - Senior field hockey goalie Taylor Teixeira (Exeter, N.H.) collected ECAC DIII New England Field Hockey Defensive Player of the Week honors one day after being named the CCC's Defensive Player of the Week.
Teixeira, who earned the ECAC Defensive Player of the Week over a three week span from October 18th-November 1st in 2011, led the Gulls to a 2-0 record this past week over opponents UMass Dartmouth and Gordon.
Endicott's victories catapulted them to a 4-1 overall mark with a 1-0 record early in their conference schedule. The Gulls are joined by Nichols and UNE as CCC teams with one win in conference play.
Teixeira and the Gulls host North Shore rival Salem State on Wednesday, September 19th at 4:00 pm at Endicott Stadium. Endicott is 3-2 versus the Vikings since the 2007 season, head coach Jodi Cipolla's first with the team.
