BEVERLY, Mass. — Endicott football student-athletes Adam Goodfellow (Wayland, Mass.) and Zachariah Twardosky (Merrimack, N.H.) have received Conference of New England (CNE) weekly awards, as announced by the league office today.
Goodfellow was named the CNE Offensive Player of the Week, while Twardosky captured CNE Defensive Player of the Week honors, respectively.
Goodfellow's 76-yard touchdown was the difference in No. 9/12 Endicott's 28-20 win over RPI. The junior wideout's career-long reception touchdown pushed the Gulls ahead in the contest, 21-20, with 7:42 to play, and helped the hosts erase a late fourth-quarter deficit. Goodfellow finished the contest with career highs for receptions (7), and receiving yards (69), alongside two TDs (9-yard score, 7-6 lead, 12:10, 2nd quarter).
Meanwhile, Twardosky's 47-yard pick-6 locked up Endicott's come-from-behind 28-20 victory over RPI on Saturday. The graduate student finished with a game-high/season-high/career-high-tying 10 tackles (7 solo). The pick-6 was the second of his career.
This is Goodfellow and Twardosky's first career Weekly Awards.
