Gulls' Duo Named To D3Baseball.com Summer League Baseball Honor Roll

JENKINS SUMMER STATS | MACDOUGALL SUMMER STATS

BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott baseball student-athletes Chris Jenkins (Mansfield, Mass.) and Danny MacDougall (Taunton, Mass.) have been named to the D3baseball.com Summer League Honor Roll.

The D3baseball.com Summer League Honor Roll, which began in 2022, recognizes student-athletes who produced outstanding seasons in summer ball across the nation in Division III.

Jenkins earned the honor as a member of the 2023 Futures League Champion Norwich Sea Unicorns.

The right-hander was a large part of the team's success, as he featured a minuscule 1.75 earned run average (ERA) in 12 appearances with the Futures League champs who won a team record 43 games this summer.

Jenkins started one game and appeared in 11 out of relief, compiling 26 strikeouts in 36 innings pitched. He ended his championship season with a 3-1 record for the Sea Unicorns, closed out a three-inning save against the Worcester Bravehearts on June 18, and preserved a 2-1 lead in the sixth inning of the championship-clinching game on August 13. Jenkins entered the contest against the Vermont Lake Monsters with runners on first and second and just one out.

Meanwhile, MacDougall suited up for the Brockton Rox, also members of the Futures League.

Over the course of the summer ball season, MacDougall slashed an impressive .325/.419/.375 while also stealing 11 bases and driving in 10 runs. MacDougall also came in to pitch for the Rox on a few occasions, posting an ERA of 4.50 in those two appearances.

Both student-athletes will look to follow up on their impressive summer success, and Endicott's College World Series run this past season, when they return to The Nest for their junior years in a few weeks.
