BEVERLY, Mass. – The No. 10/12 nationally ranked Endicott baseball team is scheduled to begin its 2023 campaign on Friday, March 3 at home against Salem State at 3:30 PM. Here's a preview of the Gulls' upcoming season.
FIVE THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW
- Endicott has been picked to repeat as conference champions via the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Preseason Coaches' Poll.
- Joseph Millar (Lake Hopatcong, N.J.) and Caleb Shpur (East Canaan, Conn.) have been named captains for the 2023 season.
- The Gulls will take on eight teams who are either nationally ranked or receiving votes in the Collegiate Baseball Newspaper and/or D3baseball.com Preseason Polls.
- Chapman will be the highest nationally ranked team Endicott will play to start the season as the Panthers are currently situated No. 5 and No. 7, respectively in the previously mentioned polls.
- Shpur and Nicolas Notarangelo (Taunton, Mass.) were named 2023 D3baseball.com Preseason All-Americans.
