Northrup earns fourth rookie of the week selection

Springfield, Mass. – Freshman Jake Northrup (Boxborough, Mass.) has been named The Commonwealth Coast Conference (TCCC) rookie of the week for the fourth time this year. Northrup batted .462 (6-for-13) with three doubles, one triple, five RBI and three runs scored as the Gulls’ posted a 2-1 weekly record.  Northrup hit safely in all three of Endicott’s games, and also logged a save in the Gulls’ 15-13 win at Southern Maine, striking out the game’s final batter.

He hit a go-ahead, RBI double in the top of the sixth inning to help the Blue and Green salvage a split with host Salve Regina on Saturday afternoon. Through Sunday, the Gulls are 21-9 overall and 12-4 in conference play.
