In game one, John Oppenhimer (Westport, Conn.) started things off with a productive RBI groundout in the bottom of the first, bringing in Mike Pascarella (Milford, Conn.) for an early 1-0 lead.

Endicott would be held scoreless until the fourth inning, when Chris Dominguez (Braintree, Mass.) hit a two-run home run to right field that just cleared the fence to make it a 2-1 game.

The Hawks responded with three runs in the bottom of the fifth, getting RBIs from Oppenhimer, Trevor Manzi (Beverly, Mass.), and Mike Thomas (Plainville, Conn.) to go back on top by a 4-2 score.

An RBI single by Jake Northrup (Holden, Mass.) in the following Endicott at-bat brought the Gulls within one. Eric Lemke (Southington, Conn.) would then complete the Gull comeback, scoring from third on a double-play to tie the game at four.

In the bottom of the sixth, Matt Swensen (Charlton, Mass.) would lead off the frame with a single and advanced to second on a groundout to third. Chris Comeau (Southbury, Conn.) came in to pinch run for Swensen and would eventually score the winning run without a ball leaving the infield. Comeau moved to third on a passed ball and touched home on a wild pitch to the backstop.

Tyler Pogmore (Lebanon, Conn.) would walk the leadoff batter Mike Russo (Natick, Mass.) but would retire the following three Gulls for his fifth save of the year.

PJ Gouthro (Walpole Mass.) picked up the win for RWU, giving up four runs on five hits in six innings with four strikeouts. Oppenhimer finished 2-for-3 with two RBIs, with Pascarella going 2-for-4 with a pair of runs.

Brendan Pittsley (Plympton, Mass.) took the loss for Endicott, giving up four runs (two earned) in 4.2 innings. Lemke went 2-for-3 with two runs scored, with Dominguez adding two hits, two RBI, and a run.
