Northrup earns third TCCC rookie of the week selection

Springfield, Mass. – Freshman first basemen/shortstop Jake Northrup (Boxborough, Mass.) was named The Commonwealth Coast Conference (TCCC) rookie of the week for the third time this season. 

Northrup hit .444 (8-for-18) with two doubles, 11 RBI and six runs scored as the Gulls’ posted a 5-1 weekly record. Northrup batted safely in five of six games, collecting four hits and three RBI in a doubleheader sweep of Eastern Nazarene, adding three hits and three RBI in a twinbill sweep of Colby-Sawyer, and added five RBI in a two-game split with Anna Maria.

Endicott moved to 19-8 overall (11-3 TCCC) after the 5-1 week and is currently ranked eighth in the latest New England Intercollegiate Baseball Association (NEIBA) poll. 

The Gulls return to action on Saturday (April 16) for a doubleheader at Salve Regina before traveling to Roger Williams a day later.
