SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – After a 2-2 week for the Endicott women’s volleyball team that saw the Gulls earn a five-set victory over regionally-ranked Tufts University, the CCC recognized junior Ashley Norley (Sudbury, Mass.) as this week’s Libero of the Week.
Norley averaged 4.71 digs per set on the week and sported a .975 reception percentage with just two errors on 81 total receive attempts. She totaled 66 digs with her week-high of 23 coming against New England’s \#4 ranked Jumbos, a match in which she also served four aces.
In the first contest of the week, Endicott won in straight sets over CCC foe Curry and Norley gave a solid overall performance with five digs, three kills and three service aces.
Over the weekend against the sixth and seventh ranked teams in New England, Coast Guard and Connecticut College, Norley compiled a total of 38 digs and a .976 reception percentage in the non-conference tri-match.
Norley and the Gulls travel to face their fifth nationally ranked opponent this season as they take on \#25 Bowdoin tonight at 7:00 pm up in Brunswick, Maine.
