Box Score

BEVERLY, Mass. –
The Endicott women’s volleyball team improved to 10-10 (4-0 CCC) with a 3-0 (25-17, 25-19, 25-16) victory over Gordon in conference action Tuesday night.  The Scots dropped to 12-9 (1-5 CCC) with the loss.

Endicott, winners of five of their last six matches, will next host Roger Williams on Homecoming Weekend in a rematch of last year’s CCC Championship match.  The Hawks won 3-0 over the Gulls to take last year’s conference title.  First serve will be at 2:00 pm on Saturday, October 15th in MacDonald Gymnasium.

The Blue and Green turned in a dominating performance defensively at the net to disrupt the Gordon offensive attack.  The Gulls record 11 total blocks as a team with numerous players teaming up for assisted blocks including sophomore Callie Dolan (Westford, Mass.) and freshman Hannah Dahlgren (Queensbury, N.Y.) who each had a match-high five block assists.  Seniors Elyse Barbour (Greenville, R.I.) and Sarah Allshouse (Berthoud, Colo.) were also major contributors in  Endicott’s blocking efforts as both players added four block assists in the match.  Dahlgren recorded Endicott’s lone solo block.

Endicott’s attack was led by outside hitters Alexandra Gearin (Los Angeles Calif.) and Falyn Torelli (Pelham, N.Y.) who had eight kills apiece.  Dolan added six kills while Barbour added five more.  Both Dolan and Barbour were efficient with just one error each.

Gulls setter Sarah Allshouse had 27 assists in the match for an Endicott attack that sported a .200 hit percentage.

Defending the Gordon attack were juniors Ashley Norley (Sudbury, Mass.) and Gillian Kucharski (Avon, Conn.).  Norley had a team-best 12 digs with Kucharski adding 10 more.  Kucharski was integral in Endicott’s second set victory as she served off seven in-a-row to put the Gulls firmly ahead.
