WORCESTER, Mass. – The Endicott women's ice hockey team faced Becker College on Monday evening on the campus of Holy Cross and the Gulls came away with a 2-0 win.
Jillian Gibbs (Burlington, Vt.) got Endicott on the board at the 5:53 mark of the second period on a power play opportunity.
With less than six minutes remaining in the second frame, Isabel Hill (Derry, N.H.) netted her first goal of the season to give the Gulls a 2-0 advantage.
In net, Vendela Jonsson (Linkoping, Sweden) recorded 13 saves to secure the 2-0 shutout victory.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Today's contest was the 100th game played in program history. The Gulls overall record in those 100 games is 68-21-11. Both Ellen Carter (Roseville, Minn.) and Rachel Lustenring (Poughkeepsie, N.Y.) appeared in all 100 contests.
- Endicott is 7-0-1 against Becker in the all-time series.
- Earning assists during the game were Carter, Jade Meier (Fairbanks, Alaska), Emma McDowell (Alexandria, Va.), and Meaghan Farragher (Bridgewater, Mass.).
- Julia Johnson (Littleton, Colo.) made 46 stops for the Hawks.
WHAT'S NEXT
Endicott (13-4-4, 5-2-1 CHC) hosts SUNY Canton for a pair of games on Friday (2/8) and Saturday (2/9) at 7 PM and 3 PM, respectively. Becker (4-14-3, 1-6-1 CHC) takes on Morrisville State on Friday and Saturday at 7:05 PM and 3:45 PM, respectively.
