MIDDLETOWN, Conn. – The Endicott women's ice hockey team traveled to Wesleyan (Conn.) for a non-conference matchup and skated away with a 3-0 victory.
Neither team was able to get on the board in the first period but at the 8:44 mark of the second frame, Endicott's Jillian Gibbs (Burlington, Vt.) gave the Gulls a 1-0 advantage.
Endicott continued to push offensively which saw two more goals late in the third period from Lexi Klein (Shoreview, Minn.) and Meaghan Francis (Woodbridge, Conn.) to secure the 3-0 shutout.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Francis' tally was her first career goal.
- Michaela McNamara (Warwick, R.I.) was credited with an assist on the first goal of the night (8:44, 2nd).
- Alyssa Peterson (Cranberry Township, Pa.) improved to 3-0 on the season with 14 saves.
- Allegra Grant (Winnetka, Ill.) recorded 41 saves during the loss.
- The Gulls held a 43-14 shot advantage.
WHAT'S NEXT
Endicott (5-2-2) hosts Stevenson on Friday, December 7 for a 6 PM contest. Wesleyan (3-3-0) travels to Saint Anselm at 3 PM on Saturday, December 8.
