RUTLAND, Vt. – The Endicott women's ice hockey team traveled to Rutland, Vt. for the WSYB/Catamount Radio Invitational, where they tied Manhattanville College, 1-1, on Saturday afternoon.
The Valiants got on the board first with a tally from Adelle Clark (Lantzville, B.C.) at the 16:04 mark of the first period.
Endicott's Caroline Hughes (Andover, Mass.) responded in the second frame by stealing the puck from a defender to net her third goal of the season.
Neither team was able to find the back of the net during the third period, so the contest headed into overtime.
Both teams saw opportunities in the extra frame, but ultimately the game ended in a 1-1 tie.
In order to determine which team would advance to Sunday's championship contest, there was a shootout. Endicott moved on as Hughes converted the first and only successful attempt and Vendela Jonsson (Linkoping, Sweden) turned away all three Manhattanville chances.

- Jonsson recorded 16 saves during the contest.
