BIDDEFORD, Maine. – The Endicott women's ice hockey team defeated the University of New England, 2-0, on Saturday night at the Harold Alfond Forum.
The Gulls struck just 51 seconds into the first period when Courtney Sullivan (North Yarmouth, Maine) netted her second goal of the season.
Endicott extended that lead to 2-0 nine minutes later with a tally from Madison Huber (Pittsburgh, Pa.).
Neither team was able to find the back of the net throughout the second and third period.
Alyssa Peterson (Cranberry Township, Pa.) recorded 20 saves to earn the shutout and her first win of the season.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Endicott held a 36-26 shot advantage throughout the contest.
- Julia Benjamin (Tolland, Conn.) recorded 26 saves during the loss.
- Earning assists for the Gulls were Ashlie Jones (Billerica, Mass.) and Caroline Hughes (Andover, Mass.).

Endicott (2-1-1, 1-1-0 CHC) hosts Salve Regina on Friday, November 16 at 4 PM. UNE (4-1-0, 3-1-0 CHC) travels to Morrisville State for a 4 PM contest on Friday, November 16.
