REGATTA HIGHLIGHTS: Saturday breeze ranged from 8-12 with puffs which created puffs here and there created some interesting moments at marks. Some shifts ranged from 45 to 90 degrees creating additional drama with several capsizes which resulted in some boat damage. One redress was given for damage.
Sunday brought flukier wind, with 180 degree shifts, strong breeze at times and then shutting down - just typical pond sailing. One B set was sailed to complete the set. As the next set started the wind began to die. One race was sailed which was not counted in the end. After several hours of no breeze racing ended around 3pm.
Thank goodness no one fell in - the dock was frosted over when teams arrived Sunday morning and the boats had ice in them! Luckily the sun came out strong towards the end of the day and warmed things up a bit.
