No. 4 Men's Volleyball Finishes 1-1 At Vassar Tri-Match

Poughkeepsie, N.Y. — The No. 4 nationally-ranked Endicott men's volleyball team went 1-1 on Saturday in the Vassar Tri-Match at Kenyon Hall. 

The Gulls defeated Ramapo 3-0 before falling to Vassar, 3-0. 

NO. 4 ENDICOTT 3 RAMAPO 0 (25-21, 25-15, 25-23)

Donovan Dey (Fairport, N.Y.) led the way for the Gulls registering a match-high 12 kills, one service ace, and seven digs. 

The Gulls also saw Erich Roman (South Glastonbury, Conn.) register seven kills, three assists, and five digs. 

Rounding out the offense highlights for Endicott was Bryn Lipton (Rockford, Ill.) and Ian Smith (Elk Grove, Calif.) who each had 6 kills. 

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE 

  • Chad Riorden (Fairport, N.Y.) led the Gulls with 22 assists. Endicott also saw Gabe DeBenedetto (Rockford, Ill.) register 10 assists. 
  • This was the first matchup between Endicott and Ramapo since April 21, 2012. 
  • In the second set, Lipton had three straight services aces to put the Gulls up by four, (6-2).

NO. 4 ENDICOTT 0 VASSAR 3 (20-25, 13-25, 21-25)

Lipton was the offensive leader for the Gulls in the contest registering 10 kills, one service ace, and two digs. 

The Gulls also saw Dey register seven kills and Roman register three kills. 

DeBenedetto led the way in assists for Endicott with 12. 

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE 

  • Vassar is receiving votes in the latest AVCA poll.
  • Vassar leads the all-time series over Endicott, 9-3.
