BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott senior outside hitter Bryn Lipton (Rockford, Ill.) has been named to the 2020 Off the Block Division III Preseason All-America Team, as announced by the organization. This is Lipton's fourth career All-America honor (second from Off the Block).

The Off the Block annual preseason honor recognizes NCAA Division III men's volleyball student-athletes who are projected to be the best in the nation during the upcoming season.

A 16-member voting committee for this preseason honor was comprised of Division III men's volleyball head coaches from around the nation. The top 15 vote-getters from the committee's ballots earned a spot on the Preseason All-American Team, while six others were tabbed to the Honorable Mention Team.

This is the fifth season that Off the Block has presented its Division III Preseason All-America and Honorable Mention Teams. Off the Block is the only volleyball organization to present men's volleyball Preseason All-American Teams.

As for Lipton, the outside hitter guided Endicott to a 26-7 overall record and 13-1 mark in conference play last season en route to capturing the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Championship over Elms, 3-1, on the road. The Gulls also advanced to the NCAA Tournament quarterfinal round and ranked as high as seventh nationally.

Individually, Lipton's 2019 campaign included the following stats: 3.39 kills per set (305 total), a .322 hitting percentage, 0.49 service aces (44 total), 1.64 digs (148 total), 0.40 blocks (seven solo, 29 assisted) and 370.5 points (4.1 per set) in 27 matches played.

Lipton also recorded four double-doubles and posted a career-high 26 kills over Cal Lutheran in a five-set win on March 19.

Meanwhile, nationally, among all NCAA Division III student-athletes, Lipton ranked No. 26 in aces per set, No. 35 in hitting percentage, No. 28 in kills per set, and No. 19 in points per set. His play has also aided Endicott to a No. 1 ranking in hitting percentage (.319) and No. 6 position in aces per set (2.27).
