Men's Lacrosse Receives NEILA All-Academic Team Honors

BEVERLY, Mass. – Seven members of the Endicott men's lacrosse program have earned New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (NEILA) All-Academic Team honors.

Members of the teams are nominated by head coaches in Divisions I, II, and II, and are student-athletes who have excelled both in the classroom and on the field over the course of their men's lacrosse career.

Nominees must have senior or graduate student standing, a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale, and be an impact player for their team.

Endicott's award winners were Ethan Cupples (Marshfield, Mass.)Jack Dagata (Branford, Conn.), Matthew DiLorenzo (Franklin Lakes, N.J.)Nick Graap (Yorktown Heights, N.Y.), Ned LaVallee (Hingham, Mass.)Tim Luciano (Westport, Conn.), and Tommy Tyksinski (Guilderland, N.Y.).

Babson led Division III with 14 student-athletes, followed by Williams College with 11 student-athletes honored. In total, 178 Division III players representing 39 different institutions made an appearance on this year's squads.

YEAR IN REVIEW

Endicott went 16-2 overall and 7-0 in league play.

The first-seeded Gulls took home conference championship No. 11 as they defeated Western New England 15-6 and advanced to the NCAA Tournament, falling to No. 9 Swarthmore, 14-9. The Gulls reached as high as No. 17 in the Division III national polls.
