Third Quarter Run Elevates Endicott Over Springfield, 15-7

BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott men's lacrosse team defeated Springfield, 15-7, on Saturday afternoon at Hempstead Stadium.

Guerin Favreau (Woodstock Valley, Conn.) and Tommy Tyksinski (Guilderland, N.Y.) scored hat tricks to lead the Gulls.

Nick Graap (Yorktown Heights, N.Y.), Colt Green (Honeoye Falls, N.Y.), and Cam Fernandez (Mendham, N.J.) all found the back of the net twice, while Thomas Barker (Needham, Mass.), Manny Marshall (Chelmsford, Mass.), and Jack Fiorillo (Mineola, N.Y.) netted solo tallies to round out the scoring.

Tied 6-6 at the break, Endicott rattled off four straight goals to begin the second half and never looked back in the contest.

Barker jumpstarted the Gulls' scoring run just seven seconds into the third quarter by winning the opening faceoff and rifling a mid-range shot through traffic for his second tally of the season.

Tyksinski (11:39, 8-6, 13th), Favreau (10:53, 9-6, 15th), and Fernandez (8:43, 10-6, 7th) fed off Barker's strike with three unanswered goals to create the largest deficit on the scoreboard, 10-6, at the time.

The Pride finally broke up the streak at the 6:56 mark, but Endicott responded with back-to-back tallies from Favreau (5:19, UP, 11-7, 16th) and Fiorillo (4:31, 12-7, 3rd) to earn a 6-1 differential in the third.

From there, the Gulls blanked Springfield in the final frame, 3-0, to solidify the win.

In goal, Tim Luciano (Westport, Conn.) made 14 saves to improve to 4-1 on the season (27-10 career).
