Men’s Lacrosse Downs Skidmore, 12-7

BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott men's lacrosse team posted a 12-7 non-conference victory over Skidmore on Saturday afternoon at Hempstead Stadium.

Jack Sutherland (Sudbury, Mass.) and Mike Sudora (Monroe, Conn.) paced the offense with three goals each in the win.

Nick Arcadipane (Groveland, Mass.) also chipped in with a pair of markers, while Andrew Soucy (Andover, Mass.), Will Clark (Burnt Hills, N.Y.), Eric Spada (Glen Rock, N.J.), and Sam Abate (Beverly, Mass.) potted solo tallies for the Gulls.

Meanwhile, in goal, Austin Fournier (Martha's Vineyard, Mass.) was lights out as the senior stopped a career-high 21 shots to push his record to 2-2 on the season.

Leading 6-5 with under three minutes to play in the third quarter, the Gulls notched six straight goals from the 2:31 mark of the third to the 6:52 mark of the fourth to run away with the contest. Sutherland started the offensive outburst at 2:31 of the third, and scored another with 26-seconds to play in the quarter, while Abate, Clark, Spada, and Arcadipane all found the back of the net during the run as well.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • The Gulls improved to 3-0 all-time against Skidmore.
  • Endicott has outscored the Thoroughbreds 32-19.
  • The Gulls have never allowed more than eight goals in a game versus Skidmore in the series.

Endicott (2-2) hosts No. 2 nationally ranked Amherst on Tuesday, March 10 at 4 PM. Skidmore (2-2) takes on Merchant Marine on Tuesday, March 10 in Virginia Beach, Virginia at 11 AM.
