2022-23 Endicott Golf Preview

BEVERLY, Mass.- The Endicott men's golf program gets the 2022 fall season underway on Saturday as kick off the two-day Duke Nelson Invitational at the Ralph Myhre Golf Club. Here's a preview of the upcoming 2022-23 season.

FIVE THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW

  • The Gulls will be a balanced mix of experience and young talent in 2022-23, returning four seniors, three juniors and two sophomores while welcoming five first year members to a team that finished as the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Champions in 2021-22.
  • Leading the way will be Tyler Baker (Falmouth, Maine)Nicholas Grimbilas (Strafford, N.H.)Frank Mahoney (Braintree, Mass.), and Brady Burke (Bedford, N.H.). Each of the four earned All-CCC recognition in 2021-22, as Baker and Grimbilas were named to the All-CCC First Team, while Mahoney and Burke garnered All-CCC Second Team nods.
  • At the helm of the program and entering his 11th year is head coach Tom Smith. Smith has guided the Gulls to four NCAA DIII Tournament appearances and six CCC Championships overall while being named CCC Coach of the Year on six separate occasions during his tenure.
  • Endicott has either won the CCC title or finished as the runner-up every year dating back to the 2008-09 season when they finished third.
  • Today's tournament in Vermont kicks off the road tour of New England in the fall that sees the Gulls travel to Vermont, Rhode Island, Maine and Massachusetts over their first five fall invitationals, including the CCC Fall Qualifier on Thursday, September 22, at the Green Valley Country Club in Portsmouth, R.I.

  • Sept 10-11: Duke Nelson Invitational, Middlebury, Vt.
  • Sept. 17-18: Williams College Invitational, Williamstown, Mass.
  • Sept. 22: CCC Championship Fall Qualifier, Portsmouth, R.I.
  • Sept. 24-25: Bowdoin Invitational, Brunswick, Maine
  • Sept. 30: UNE Invitational, Kennebunk, Maine
  • Oct. 8-9: Skidmore Invitational, Saratoga, N.Y.
  • OCt. 16-17: NEIGA Championship, Brewster, Mass.
