NORMAN, Okla.- The Division III PING All-America second, third and honorable mention teams were announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) on Wednesday, and Endicott's Austin Teal (Loudonville, N.Y.) was one of 26 golfers to make the honorable mention team.  The honor follows a historic post season run that saw Teal qualify for the final two rounds of the NCAA DIII National Championship as an individual where he ultimately finished tied for ninth at the Grandover Resort in Greensboro, N.C.  This is the first All-American honor in Endicott golf history.

Teal made the cut after the first two days of the Championship as an individual as he sat at even par following 36 holes of competition.  That was good enough to place him amongst the top ten individual golfers whose teams did not make the top 15 team cut, and therefore allowed him to take place in the final two rounds.

Teal's first round score of 74 (+2) was bettered by his day two score of 70 (-2), to provide the even par score following his first two rounds.  The sophomore made the most of his opportunity for his third round as he shot yet another 70 to move him to -2 for the Championship, and with that, a third place standing at the conclusion of the third round.   His fourth round proved to be his toughest, as he posted a fourth round score of 80 (+8), to give him a four round score of 294 (+6).
