BEVERLY, Mass. — The Endicott field hockey team defeated Wellesley, 3-0, in non-conference action on Tuesday night at North Field.
Tori Swanson (Farmington, Conn.) highlighted the attack for the Gulls scoring two goals in the first quarter less than two minutes apart (5:57 | 7:46).
Meghan Lehouiller (Colchester, Vt.) helped keep the Blue off the scoreboard with a defensive save in the third quarter, while Reagan Hicks (Barnstable, Mass.) clinched the win with a goal just under five minutes to play, off a feed from Swanson.
In goal, Alexis DeMattia (Methuen, Mass.) made six saves in the victory (9-3).
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Endicott is 3-1 all-time against Wellesley.
- Swanson has scored two or more goals in three of her last four games.
- DeMattia registered her second shutout of the season.
- With her defensive save in the third quarter, Lehouiller moves into a tie for 11th place in Division 3 with six defensive saves.
