CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — The Endicott field hockey team defeated No. 12 nationally ranked MIT, 3-1, in non-conference action on Wednesday night at Jack Barry Field.
Lindsay Bruns (Belfast, Maine) scored the game-winning goal for the Gulls with just over eight minutes remaining (51:43). Bruns redirected a hard shot from the top of the arc by Jenna Seibold (Reading, Mass.) following an insert on a penalty corner.
Meanwhile, Tori Swanson (Farmington, Conn.) added the other two goals for Endicott.
Her first came early in the second quarter (15:36) off a feed from Casey Halliday (Monroe, Conn.). She also provided the insurance goal late in the fourth (55:31) to seal the victory.
In goal, Alexis DeMattia (Methuen, Mass.) made a career-high 12 saves to improve to 2-1 on the season.
Meghan Lehouiller (Colchester, Vt.) also recorded a highlight-worthy defensive save in the third quarter that kept the game deadlocked at one apiece when she batted away a blast from close range, shoulder high, out of the air and away from the cage.

- This is Endicott's fourth win in the series against MIT and first since 2019 (3-1, 9/10/19).
