Endicott field hockey traveled to Standish ME where they defeated St. Joseph's College 5-0. The Gulls netted all five goals in the first half of the game. Sophomore Lindsay Fallon is credited with the game-winning goal that was scored in the first six minutes of play. The goal developed when freshman forward Jen Rheaume found Fallon open off the left post for her first goal of the season. It was the upperclassmen that took to the boards next. Seniors Kim Doody and KD Balentine scored the following two goals for the Gulls. Rheaume then captured her first collegiate goal on a centering pass from teammate Ashley Wallace. Rheaume also assisted Kim Doody on the fifth and final goal of the game.
The Gulls continued to dominate play in the second half out shooting the Monks 11-1, but St Joe's keepers Mandy Gosselin and Ilissa Vallee held strong through the remaining minutes of play.
EC's defense was lead by seniors Jen Carney and Lisa Cote and sophomore goalkeeper Erin Curry. Curry captured her third shut out of the season with this victory.
The Gulls will bring their skills back home as they face Western New England College Thursday September 30th at 4pm for a non-conference match up.
