Gulls skate past MIT, 11-3
BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott College ice hockey team snapped a three-game losing streak with an 11-3 thumping of MIT on Saturday night in Hamilton, Mass. The Gulls were led by \#Rob DiNicola\# (Wolcott, Conn.) who recorded a hat-trick while also handing out four assists in helping Endicott improve to 6-10 and 3-5 in the NECHA this season.

\#Gregory Szkop\# (New Britain, Conn.) scored two goals in the first period, the only two tallies of the frame, and the Gulls never looked back. MIT scored early in the second to make it a 2-1 game but DiNicola potted two of his scores before the end of the second to help the Gulls build a 4-1 lead.

There were plenty of fireworks in the third period as the Gulls and Engineers combined to score nine goals in the frame. \#Kevin Bunting\# (Plantsville, Conn.) scored the first goal of the period however MIT answered five minutes later to make it a 5-2 game. The Gulls then rattled of six straight scores before MIT scored in the final two minutes but it was not enough as Endicott cruised to an 11-3 win.

12 different Endicott players recorded a point including \#Garrett Moore\# (Sudbury, Mass.), \#Brett Erickson\# (Leominster, Mass.) and Bunting who each recorded a goal and two assists. \#Drew Bowden\# (Cumberland, Maine) added three assists while \#Dan Giddings\# (North Reading, Mass.) chipped in with two scores of his own.

The Blue and Green return to the ice following the Thanksgiving break as the Gulls travel to Connecticut on December 4th through the 5th for matchups with Western Connecticut State and Central Connecticut University.
