Endicott falls to Bryant and Northeastern
BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott College ice hockey team dropped a pair of NECHA games to Bryant University, 4-3, on Friday night and followed that up with a 5-1 loss at the hands of Northeastern University on Saturday night. With the losses, the Gulls drop to 3-6 overall this season and 1-2 in the NECHA.

On Friday night, the Gulls fell into an early 2-0 hole in the first period. Endicott’s \#Adam Rayho\# (Succasunna, N.J.) cut the deficit to 2-1 on feeds from \#Rob DiNicola\# (Wolcott, Conn.) and \#Mike Vacca\# (North Reading, Mass.). The Bulldogs added a tally of their own to stretch their lead to 3-1, however \#Craig Ward\# (Cohoes, N.Y.) scored with 6:36 to play in the second period to make it a one-goal game again. \#Jon Gurry\# (Wells, Maine) was credited with an assist as well as DiNicola, picking up his second helper of the game.

Endicott came out firing in the third and final period as DiNicola knotted the game at 3-3 on a pass from \#Dan Giddings\# (North Reading, Mass.) 15 seconds into the third period. Bryant would come away successful however as David Potvin netted his second goal of the game with just over six minutes to play to ice the Gulls.

\#Ryan Fullerton\# (Saunderstown, R.I.) suffered the setback for the Gulls while Bryant’s Mark Donahue picked up the win.

The following night, Endicott held the Huskies scoreless in the first frame but could not keep the Northeastern offense quiet for long. The Huskies scored four straight goals, spanning the second and third periods, before Endicott got on the board with a DiNicola score. The goal came short-handed off the sticks of \#Matthew Zimmerman\# (South Glastonbury, Conn.) and \#Brett Erickson\# (Leominster, Mass.).

\#Mark Airoldi\# (Kennebunk, Maine) took the loss between the pipes for Endicott while Rory Condron earned the win for Northeastern.

The Blue and Green return to the ice on Halloween night when the Gulls look for avenge their loss against Bryant with a 7:30 p.m. faceoff at the Pingree School in Hamilton, Mass.
