Endicott downs Western Connecticut, 4-2
BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott College club ice hockey team picked up a non-NECHA victory over visiting Western Connecticut State Saturday night in Hamilton, Mass. The Gulls improve to 5-7 overall and were led by a pair of scores from captain \#Brett Erickson\# (Leominster, Mass.).

The Colonels jumped out to an early lead as Colin Neugold scored on a feed from Dan Allen for a 1-0 lead. That score would hold up until the 15:26 mark of the second period when \#Drew Bowden\# (Cumberland, Maine) scored the equalizer for Endicott on a pass from \#Kevin Bunting\# (Plantsville, Conn.).

Erickson would put the Gulls ahead for sure in the third as the senior netted back-to-back goals to push the Endicott lead to 3-1. West Conn. would threaten with less than a minute to go as Neugold potted his second of the contest to make it a 3-2 deficit. \#Christopher Delande\# (Rowley, Mass.) scored an insurance goal with 3.4 seconds to play and give the Gulls a 4-2 victory.

\#Matt Murray\# (Billerica, Mass.) picked up the win in net for Endicott while facing 14 shots and making 12 saves. Nick D’Aurio suffered the setback for the Colonels, making 19 stops on 23 shots.

The Blue and Green return to the ice on Saturday when the Gulls host Bridgewater State College in a NECHA matchup scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
