Branch, Serina Selected For NEIBA Senior All-Star Game

NEIBA DIVISION III SENIOR ALL-STAR TEAM

BEVERLY, Mass. – JJ Branch (Milford, Mass.) and Anthony Serina (Portsmouth, R.I.) have been selected to play in the 2016 New England Intercollegiate Baseball Association (NEIBA) Senior All-Star Game next month. This year's NEIBA Senior All-Star Game, which will feature the College All-Stars (NCAA Divisions II & III) vs. the University All-Stars (NCAA Division I), will be held at Fitton Field on the campus of Holy Cross in Worcester, Mass. on Sunday, June 5, beginning at 6 p.m.

This past season, Branch became the program's all-time wins leader (25) by posting a 7-1 record and a 2.43 earned run average over 77 2/3 innings pitched for the Gulls. Meanwhile, Serina posted a .352/.427/.556 (.avg/.obp/.slg) slash line to go along with 50 hits (8 2B, 3 3B, 5 HR) and 27 RBI. Serina also broke three single-game program records in the opening round of the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Tournament as the senior designated hitter collected six runs score, five hits, and eight RBI in a 28-4 win over the Colonels.

Endicott posted a 29-15 record in 2016, and surpassed the 500-win plateau as a program (515-372, .581).
