Serina Named To D3baseball.com Team Of The Week

D3BASEBALL.COM TEAM OF THE WEEK

BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott senior designated hitter Anthony Serina (Portsmouth, R.I.) has been named to the D3baseball.com Team of the Week for his performances in games played through May 2-8.

Serina went 11-for-15 in a 3-0 week for the Gulls to go along with a .733/.778/1.267 slash line, eight runs scored, two doubles, two homers, nine RBI, three walks, and three stolen bases. In the opening round of the CCC Tournament against Gordon, Serina broke single-game program records for most runs scored (six), hits (five), and RBIs (eight).

The Team of the Week is D3baseball.com's weekly honor roll, in its fifth season of recognizing the top performers at each of nine positions from the previous week. Players are selected from nominations from their school's sports information directors. This is the final Team of the Week in the 2016 season.

Endicott (29-13) will return to action tomorrow at 12 p.m. against the winner of today's Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Tournament elimination game matchup between Western New England and Salve Regina. The Gulls will only need to win once on Wednesday to capture their seventh CCC league title in program history.
