Serina Earns NCBWA National Hitter Of The Week Honorable Mention Recognition

BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott senior designated hitter Anthony Serina (Portsmouth, R.I.) has earned National College Baseball Writers' Association (NCBWA) NCAA Division III National Hitter of the Week honorable mention recognition for his performances in games played from May 2-8.

Today's NCBWA recognition marks the third weekly award Serina has received this week. On Monday, Serina claimed Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Player of the Week accolades, in addition to being named to the D3baseball.com Team of the Week as well.

From May 2-8, Serina went 11-for-15 in a 3-0 week for the Gulls to go along with a .733/.778/1.267 slash line, eight runs scored, two doubles, two homers, nine RBI, three walks, and three stolen bases. In the opening round of the CCC Tournament against Gordon, Serina broke single-game program records for most runs scored (six), hits (five), and RBIs (eight).

Endicott (29-15), ranked No. 6 in the NCAA New England Regional Poll, will await the announcement of a potential NCAA Division III Tournament at-large bid on Sunday. The announcement will be made on NCAA.com.
