49 Endicott Student-Athletes Named CCC Spring Academic All-Conference

2016 CCC SPRING ACADEMIC ALL-CONFERENCE LIST

BEVERLY, Mass. – The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) has announced its Spring Academic All-Conference Team, which includes 442 student-athletes from all 10-member institutions. The Academic All-Conference honor rewards varsity student-athletes who attain a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.30 (on a 4.0 scale) or higher, and have reached sophomore status at their institution. The Spring Academic All-Conference Team encompasses student-athletes who participated in baseball, men's and women's basketball, men's golf, men's and women's lacrosse, men's tennis and softball. Those institutions that sponsor invitational sports like swimming & diving and track & field are also included. 

Endicott placed 49 student-athletes in total on the Academic All-Conference list in addition to having seven of the eight programs represented boast a team GPA of 3.00 or higher. The baseball and softball teams led all Endicott programs with 10 student-athletes named to the list, while the women's basketball squads tied for the highest team GPA at 3.52.

Of the 49 honorees, Samantha DiBella (Danvers, Mass.) of the softball team represented Endicott as CCC Senior Scholar-Athletes. The other student-athlete listed with a major postseason accolade included CCC women's lacrosse Defensive Player of the Year Chelsea Burke (Georgetown, Mass.). 

In total for all 10-member institutions, the CCC Academic All-Conference Team consisted of 75 student-athletes who were also honored as All-CCC selections in their respective sports. Among the group are 32 First Team, 22 Second Team, and 21 Third Team All-CCC selections.
