Endicott Men and Women Honored with ITA Academic Awards

2015 ITA All-Academic Teams and Scholar-Athlete Honorees

SKILLMAN, N.J. – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) has announced their 2015 ITA All-Academic Team and Scholar-Athlete award winners and the Endicott women's tennis team collected their second straight All-Academic Team award while seeing a record nine student-athletes earn individual Scholar-Athlete nods. The men's team placed two individuals on the Scholar-Athlete award list.

The ITA All-Academic Team award honors a program whose cumulative team grade point average is above 3.20 (on a 4.00 scale) and takes into account players that appear on the NCAA eligibility form and have competed in one or more varsity matches for the 2014-15 academic year. Members of the Scholar-Athlete list must be a varsity letter winner, have a grade point average of at least 3.50 (on a 4.00 scale) for the 2014-15 academic year, and have been enrolled at their present school for at least two semesters.

Endicott women's tennis, who saw seven Scholar-Athletes honored by the ITA following the 2013-14 season, recognized nine student-athletes including CCC Player of the Year and First Team All-CCC Singles and Doubles player Amy Heacox (Marion, Mass.). All-CCC First Team Doubles and All-CCC Honorable Mention Singles player Dayna Reilly (Swansea, Mass.), All-CCC Honorable Mention Doubles and former CCC Player of the Year Chrissy Martel (Westbrook, Conn.), and All-CCC Honorable Mention Singles player Suzie Newman (Dighton, Mass.) were named ITA Scholar-Athletes as were Brittany Potter (Bedford, N.H.), Hannah Kravetz (Wayland, Mass.), Jamie Zompa (Marlborough, Mass.), Katie Javaruski (Mansfield, Conn.), and Skyelar MacLeod (Portsmouth, R.I.).

On the men's side, both Justin Warshavsky (East Hartford, Conn.) and Michael Dolph (Stratford, Conn.) were named to 2015 ITA Scholar-Athletes.
