Endicott Set to Play Farmingdale St. In NCAA DIII Women's Tennis Championship

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - For the second consecutive year, the Endicott women's tennis team (13-4) will take on Farmingdale State (14-1) in the opening round of the NCAA DIII Women's Tennis Championship the NCAA announced on Monday.  The Gulls have advanced to the Championship via an automatic bid following their fourth consecutive Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) title while the Rams advanced after clinching their second straight Skyline title.

In last year's matchup, the first between the two in the programs histories, the Gulls claimed a 5-2 win to advance to the second round in which Endicott fell to Amherst.  The winner of this year's match will again advance to play Williams (20-0) who received a first round bye.  Endicott is led in 2015 by senior Amy Heacox (Marion, Mass.) who was named CCC Player of the Year following her 9-6 record at #1 singles play and 11-4 play at #1 doubles.  Farmingdale State is led as well by their conference player of the year, Jessica Sickles (Massapequa Park, N.Y.) who was 11-2 in singles play at #1 singles and 10-4 overall in doubles play.

The date and time of the match are still TBD, but please check here for the 2015 NCAA DIII Women's Tennis Championship bracket.
