BEVERLY, Mass. — The Endicott women's volleyball team split a pair of matches on Saturday afternoon at MacDonald Gymnasium. The Gulls opened up the day with a 3-0 victory over Curry (25-6, 25-8, 25-11) before falling to No. 18 nationally ranked Wesleyan (Conn.) by an identical score (18-25, 18-25, 17-25).
ENDICOTT 3, CURRY 0 (25-6, 25-8, 25-11)
Krystina Schueler (Trumbull, Conn.) led the team in kills with 13 on 15 swings (.733 percentage).
Julia Giroux (Bedford, N.H.), Hadley Helenbrook (Atlanta, Ga.), and Kelsey Sanborn (Londonderry, N.H.) also chipped in with four kills apiece.
Haley Weiner (Southington, Conn.) and Savannah Cambell (Sequel, Calif.) ran the offense with 13 assists and 11 assists, respectively.
Defensively, Emma Ruel (Duxbury, Mass.) paced the team with 11 digs from the back row.
WESLEYAN 3, ENDICOTT 0 (18-25, 18-25, 17-25)
Schueler and Giroux tied for the team-high in kills with 10 each, while Helenbrook and Stephanie Moreau (Methuen, Mass.) contributed four kills of their own.
Cambell finished the match with 24 assists, two digs, and one service ace and Ruel guided the defense behind a team-high 14 digs to round out the list of individual highlights.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Endicott is now 13-0 against Curry all-time and 1-6 against Wesleyan.
- The Gulls have never dropped a set to Curry.
- Schueler led the Gulls on the day with 23 kills in the two matches.
