Women's Volleyball Wins Home Opener Over Keene State, 3-1

BEVERLEY, Mass. — The Endicott women's volleyball team defeated Keene State, 3-1, by scores of 25-21, 24-26, 25-17, and 25-23 on Friday night inside MacDonald Gymnasium.

Krystina Schueler (Trumbull, Conn.) had a career-high 17 kills, while Julia Giroux (Bedford, N.H.) added 12 kills in the victory.

Savannah Cambell (Soquel, Calif.) ran the offense with 39 assists and contributed a match-high four service aces alongside Hadley Helenbrook (Atlanta, Ga.).

Defensively, Emma Ruel (Duxbury, Mass.) paced the Gulls with a  team-high 17 digs (28-for-30 on serve-receive, .933).

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • Endicott improved to 11-4 in the all-time series against Keene State, dating back to 1995.
  • The Gulls had a season-high 16 service aces.
  • Megan Murphy (Danvers, Mass.) produced a career-high three service aces, in addition to six kills, two digs, and three block assists.
  • Lexi Tecun (Hawthorne, Calif) went a perfect 12-for-12 on serve-receive (six digs for the night).

WHAT'S NEXT

Endicott (3-0) takes on Ithaca (11 AM) and No. 13 MIT (3 PM) tomorrow in Cambridge, Mass. Keene St. (2-3) will also play the host Engineers tomorrow at 11 AM.
