BEVERLY, Mass. - The top-seeded Endicott women's volleyball team (20-8) is set to host second-seeded Roger Williams (11-10) in today's Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) championship match at 1 PM. Here's a preview of this today's match.
FIVE THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW
- This is the seventh championship meeting all-time between the two programs. The Gulls and Hawks have split the previous six meetings 3-3, with Endicott winning in 2019, 2017 and 2006.
- Endicott holds a slim 21-19 edge in the all-time series that dates back to 1995.
- The Gulls have won the last three meetings between the two programs, including a 3-0 road sweep on Oct. 16 during this regular season.
- Endicott earned the top seed after finishing a perfect 9-0 in CCC play, the sixth time they have done so under head coach Tim Byram.
- Both the Gulls and Hawks have won seven CCC titles in the respective program histories. (Endicott: 2004, 2006-08, 2016-17, 2019 / Roger Williams: 2009-15).
