Women’s Volleyball Sweeps Colby-Sawyer, 3-0

NEW LONDON, N.H. — The Endicott women's volleyball team defeated Colby-Sawyer, 3-0, by scores of 25-18, 25-23, and 25-9 on Friday night at the Hogan Sports Center.

Fourteen student-athletes recorded kills in the Gulls' fifth straight win. 

Riley Donahue (South Windsor, Conn.) and Amanda Gilbert (Hopkinton, Mass.) produced a match-high eight kills, while Meghan Frederick (Sunapee, N.H.) added seven (.583) putaways.

Defensively, Endicott held Colby-Sawyer to its second-lowest hitting percentage of the season (.050).

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • The Gulls produced a .336 hitting percentage in tonight's win, their second-highest percentage of the season.
  • Donahue registered a match-high 10 digs (second-highest total of her career | 11 vs. Tufts, 9/29/21).
  • Endicott's 41 digs tonight are the third-highest total recorded by the Gulls in a three-set match in 2021 (51 vs. Salve Regina, 9/21/2021).
  • The Blue and Green improved to 21-13 overall against Colby-Sawyer.
  • Tonight's match was the first meeting between the two programs since 10/9/2015.
  • There were only seven tied scores and three lead changes in tonight's match (1st Set, 2T-1L | 2nd Set, 4T-2L | 3rd Set, 1T-0L).

WHAT'S NEXT

Endicott (9-3) will play in a tri-match tomorrow against Middlebury (host, 11 AM) and Clarkson (1:30 PM). Colby-Sawyer (5-9) takes on Lasell (host, 11 AM) and the University of Saint Joseph (1 PM) tomorrow.
