Women’s Track & Field Shines At Hampshire College Black Sheep Invitational

BRIGHTON, Mass. — The Endicott women's track and field team produced 22 top-10 finishes and broke multiple school records at the Hampshire College Black Sheep Invitational on Saturday evening at the TRACK at new balance.

Bianca Del Maestro (Malden, Mass.) highlighted the Gulls with top-5 finishes in the 60-meter hurdles (2nd, 9.40) and high jump (4th, 4-9).

In the 60-meter hurdles, Del Maestro broke her school record in the prelims (9.41) and the finals.

Meanwhile, Riley Rischitelli (North Brookfield, Mass.) broke the school record in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:04.08 to finish second overall in the event (previous record: Olivia Folkes, 1:04.41, 2/8/19).

School records also fell in the pole vault and 800-meter run during Saturday's meet.

Nicole D'Angelo (Readfield, Maine) and Logan Baxter (Coventry, R.I.) both cleared 8-feet and 6.25-inches in the pole vault (5th/6th overall on jumps) to best school record by nearly six inches, while Hannah Shepard (Keene, N.H.) shattered the 800-meter record in 2:31.26 (4th overall, 8.54-seconds faster).

Shepard was joined by Brianna am Ende (East Lyme, Conn.), Hannah Risko (Albany, N.Y.), and Allie Devoe (Ridgefield, Conn.) in breaking the school record as the trio ranked fifth (2:35.74), seventh (2:37.18, personal record), and ninth overall (2:37.98, PR) in the event.

The previous record was set by am Ende on 2/19/22 (2:39.80).

ADDITIONAL ENDICOTT HIGHLIGHTS

  • Rischitelli placed ninth in the 200-meter dash (28.60).
  • Kinneal Dickens (Merrimac, Mass.) was seventh in the 60-meter hurdles (10.22, PR), ninth in the pole vault (7-0.50), fourth in the long jump (15-1.25), and sixth in the triple jump (30-6.50).
  • D'Angelo ranked sixth in the long jump (14-8), and second in the shot put (38-5).
  • Jordan Williams (Boxford, Mass.) finished fourth in the 60-meter dash (8.23).
  • In the mile, Catherine Schultz (North Kingstown, R.I.) placed 16th overall (6:14.36) to highlight the Gulls in the event, while Sarah Kiefer (Cold Spring Harbor, N.Y.) produced a PR (6:50.35, 21st overall).
  • Gates MacPherson (Thorold, Ontario) and Taylor Moynihan (Hingham, Mass.) finished eighth (30-4.25) and ninth (29-3.75, PR) in the shot put.
  • Baxter was seventh in the triple jump (30-4.75).
  • Deanna Dukas (Woburn, Mass.) came in eighth in the long jump (13-4).
  • Katie Ritzer (Dover, Mass.) placed fifth overall in the high jump (4-7).
