Women's Tennis Downs Wentworth, 9-0

BRIGHTON, Mass. - The Endicott women's tennis team defeated Wentworth, 9-0, on Saturday afternoon. 

 In doubles action, the Gulls saw their No. 1 team of Gretta Hartman (Glastonbury, Conn.) and Fernanda Trevino (Dallas, Texas.) cruise to an 8-2 win, their No. 2 team of Justine Hoover (Wallingford, Conn.) and Ashley Keaveney (Exeter, N.H.) not a drop a game en route to an 8-0 win, and their No. 3 team of Olivia Berler (Marstons Mills, Mass.) and Shelby Henry (Lincoln, Neb.) secure an 8-2 win. 

Endicott then swept singles play as Hoover won 6-0, 6-1 at No. 1, Hartman didn't drop a game, winning 6-0, 6-0 at No. 2, Keaveney cruised to a 6-2, 6-0 win at No. 3, Henry shutout her opponent 6-0, 6-0 at No. 4,  Trevino secured a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 5, and Clare O'Keefe (Lutz, Fla.) rounded out the action with a 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 6.

"Our women are doing a nice job having fun, but also staying focused," said women's tennis head coach Anthony D'Angelo. "We are excited to practice and dial in for some playoff tennis. 

WHAT'S NEXT 

Endicott (6-0, 5-0 CCC) will host Gordon in the Pod B finals of the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) women's tennis tournament. Wentworth (0-6, 0-5 CCC) sees its season come to an end.
