CCC ATHLETE OF THE WEEK RELEASE

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Following her four goal week that led the Endicott women's soccer team to a perfect 2-0 week, senior Rachel Hanna (Chelmsford, Mass.) has been named the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Offensive Player of the Week.

Hanna's four goals included scoring the game-winner in both matches, as well as a hat trick in Saturday's win over Eastern Nazarene. In the first match of the week, the forward was able to bury her header just over six minutes into overtime to secure a 2-1 victory over Wheaton.

In the team's 7-0 over CCC foe Eastern Nazarene, Hanna notched her first career hat trick. The co-captain got Endicott on the board first in the 12th minute of play as she made a long run and deked multiple defenders to score her first goal in a two minute span. Her second came at the 13:08 mark when she took a feed off a Hannah Pesci (Windham, N.H.) header and buried a shot from point blank range to give Endicott a 2-0 lead. Hanna capped her scoring in the 51st minute, making a run down the right wing before cutting into the box and beating the Eastern Nazarene keeper.

Hanna leads the Gulls with 12 points on six goals on the season. The Chelmsford, Mass. native leads the conference after one week with three goals in conference play, and is second among all CCC players with her six goals.

Endicott is on the road twice this week, beginning with a 4:00 p.m. start at Wheaton (Mass.), and ending with a 3:00 p.m. match at Roger Williams on Saturday.
