CCC ATHLETES OF THE WEEK RELEASE

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - Following her three goal week in a 1-1 week for the Gulls, junor Mary Verneris (Hamden, Conn.) has been named the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Offensive Player of the Week.

The midfielder started off her 2017 campaign by scoring Endicott's first goal of the season at the 5:19 mark against Keene St., a match the Gulls lost 2-3 in double overtime. The Connecticut native kept her hot stat going the next day when she posted two goals in the team's 6-0 win over Salem St. Verneris' first goal game via a penalty kick in the 66th minute before closing out the scoring by sniping the upper right corner just two minutes later.

Verneris and the rest of the women are off until Saturday when they travel to Springfield College for a 2:00 p.m. start.
