BEVERLY, Mass. - The Endicott women's soccer team finished the regular season without a loss in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) play, defeating Salve Regina 1-0 on Wednesday night to improve to 12-4-1 overall, and 8-0-1 in CCC play.
Shelby Elwell (Litchfield, Conn.) registered her fifth individual shutout of the season to improve to 10-2-1 on the year as she made two saves in the win that saw the Gulls lock up the top seed in the upcoming CCC Tournament. With the top seed, #1 Endicott will play host to #8 Curry on Saturday at 4:30 p.m. The full field and pairings was released by the Office of the Commissioner, and can be found HERE.
Endicott's goal was scored ten minutes into the second half, when Catherine Elkas (Holden, Mass.) lifted a cross into the box that glanced off of a defender and into the net for the 1-0 lead. That would prove to be game-winner as Endicott staved off all Salve Regina attempts to wrap up an undefeated conference schedule.
