SPRINGFIELD, Mass.- The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) office released the 2013 Women's Soccer Tournament bracket this evening and the Gulls were named as the top seed following an 8-1-0 record in conference play.  The Gulls will be in search of the program's ninth CCC title and 10th conference title overall.  Endicott, 13-5-1 (8-1-0), will play host to Curry, 6-10-2 (1-7-1), on Saturday at 1p.m.

The Blue and Green are in search of their first title since 2009 when the team went 17-5-1 (12-1-0) and eventually fell in the NCAA second round.  This season, possibly the most balanced offensive performance in Endicott history, has seen 17 players tally at least one goal, and nine players score at least two.  13 players have also registered assists while nine players have notched six or more points.  Madison Missinne (Ridgefield, Conn.), Laura Wysocki (Somers, Conn.) and Jessica Joseph (Bedford, N.H.) lead the offense with six goals a piece while Ashley Mueskes (Georgetown, Mass.) leads the squad with four assists.

The defense, which was charged with replacing some key pieces, has proven to be up to the task as they continued to improve and strengthen over the course of the season.  Clare Mansfield (Stoneham, Mass.) and Sarah Person (Holden, Mass.) have been pillars on a back line that has allowed just 14 goals in their 19 matches.  Keeper Katie Donnelly (Madison, Conn.) has been impressive in net as she has posted a goals against average of just 0.75 while pitching six shutouts.

The team will face a Curry team that they were able to defeat 3-0 at home on October 19th.  Curry is led by forward Kaitlyn Lima who has scored 11 goals on the season.  Keeper Hayley Lorge has posted five of the teams six wins while in net while allowing 2.12 goals per game.

The winner of this match-up will play into the winner of the #4 UNE and #5 Wentworth match.  UNE, 8-8-2 (4-3-2), finished fourth by virtue of a tiebreaker while Wentworth, 6-8-4 (4-3-2) finished fifth.  UNE and Wentworth tied 2-2 on October 29th.

In the #2 vs. #7 match-up, #2 Roger Williams 16-2-2 (7-1-1) plays host to #7 Western New England 9-6-4 (3-3-3).  These two teams played tonight and the match ended in a 1-1 tie after two overtimes.  The winner of this match will move on to face the winner of #3 Gordon, 15-4-0 (7-2-0) and #6 Eastern Nazarene 11-6-1 (4-4-1).  Gordon won their meeting this season 1-0 back in late September.
