Donnelly Earns CCC Defensive Player of the Week Honors

SPRINGFIELD, Mass.-  Endicott College junior goalkeeper Katie Donnelly (Madison, Conn.) earned two wins in goal for the Gulls this past week, the first two wins for the Gulls on the season, while not allowing a goal in either victory.  As a result, she was named as the Commonwealth Coast Conference Defensive Player of the Week.

Donnelly recorded a three save shutout over a Lasell team that averaged three goals-per-game and competed in the second round of the NCAA tournament a season ago.  Donnelly then turned away 3 shots on goal in 55 minutes of action in a 5-0 win over Smith.  With the combined performances, the junior's goals against average has dropped to 0.86.

Donnelly and the team return to the pitch on Wednesday when they travel to Wellesley.  The match is set to start at 4:15 p.m.
