Missinne and Donnelly Take Home Weekly CCC Honors After 2-0 Week

SPRINGFIELD, Mass.- After a week in which the team won their two matches, both conference, by a combined score of 6-0, senior Madison Missinne (Ridgefield, Conn.) and junior Katie Donnelly (Madison, Conn.) were named as the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week.  Endicott is now 10-5-1 overall and 5-1-0 in CCC play.

For Missinne, this is her first weekly CCC honor.  The senior played a pivotal role in the two conference victories over the week as she registered a total of five points after scoring two goals and also recording an assist.  Both of her goals proved to be game winners, running her season total to three, which leads the team.  Her five points on the week now give her a total of 11 which is also tied for the team lead.  In the 3-0 win over Eastern Nazarene, Missinne scored in the eighth minute to put Endicott up 1-0.  In the final match of the week against Curry, the senior scored on a penalty kick just 39 seconds into the match to give Endicott the 1-0 advantage and would later go on to assist in the second goal as well before the Gulls won 3-0.

For Donnelly, the honor is her fourth CCC Defensive Player of the Week honor.  The junior was able to record her fourth and fifth shutouts of the year in the two wins while also lowering her season goals against average to 0.78 overall and 0.49 in CCC play.  In the first match against Eastern Nazarene, Donnelly made eight saves to shut out the Lions who are averaging 2.5 goals per game.  She followed that performance up with an 11 save shutout over the Colonels of Curry, improving her save percentage to .921 in Conference play.

The Gulls are off until Wednesday when they will host CCC foe Nichols for their Senior Night festivities.  Endicott will be honoring seven seniors with the match time slated for a 7pm start.
